I'm a backend engineer based in Kathmandu with 2+ years of experience. Most of my work is in TypeScript, Node.js and Python, and the parts I enjoy most are the ones you only notice when something goes wrong.

I like systems that are boring to operate. Predictable deploys, clear failure modes, and data you can trust. I'd rather understand why something broke than patch over it, and I write for the person who reads the code next. Working close to security shapes how I design: I tend to ask how a thing fails before I ask how it ships.

Outside of client work I build things end to end. Most recently a study platform that turns notes into flashcards using classical NLP instead of a language model, and a network security scanner written in Rust. Security is the thread I keep pulling on, and it's what I read about in my own time.
